Info
Anne Marie Wirth Cauchon, PhD is a writer, editor, communications strategist, and independent principal
With more than fifteen years of experience across publishing, nonprofit communications, psychoanalysis, design, education, global mobility, and brand strategy, she helps organizations, founders, creative teams, and individual writers articulate complex work with clarity, depth, and force. Her practice includes thought leadership, editorial development, institutional storytelling, long-form writing, article and book-length editorial collaboration, strategic communications, and executive and founder voice.
She holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Minnesota, an MFA in Fiction from the University of Montana, and a BA in English from Macalester College. She is the co-founding editor of Stillpoint Magazine, former creative director of PrairieCare Institute’s Center for Applied Psychoanalysis, and author of the novel Nothing, published by Two Dollar Radio.
Through her independent practice, Anne Marie currently works with clients developing editorial strategy, founder voice, brand language, portfolio narratives, and long-form writing for clients working across movement, design, place, beauty, ethics, and public life.
She also works closely with individual writers, artists, and public-facing professionals on article and book-length, disciplinary-specific, or deeply personal projects. This work can include conceptual support, ghostwriting, developmental editing, manuscript architecture, writing coaching, interview-based drafting, and sustained collaboration from early concept through structure, voice, revision, and completion.
Her work is grounded in a belief that language is not ornamental. It shapes trust, perception, and possibility. Whether writing, coaching, or editing for an institution, a founder, a designer, a nonprofit, or an individual, she helps people say what they actually mean—and make it matter.
